Crossword 127: There's Something Fishy in Here!

Stanhope Alexander Forbes, A Fish Sale on a Cornish Beach

It has lately come to my attention that the New York Times, despite its prominence as a publisher of crosswords, has published troublingly few crosswords by me—that is, crosswords with themes devised, grids constructed and filled, and clues written by me, in return for which sums of money are paid to me.

I don’t know why this is; I strongly suspect that the editor (who will go unnamed here) has something to do with it.  Anyway, it’s time to take action!  I hereby swear that, until the New York Times publishes another crossword by me, I will not publish another crossword in the New York Times!
