My main purpose on this website has been to edify the world—to educate its taste, elevate its morals, and enrich its spiritual experience by crossing only the most edifying words and phrases. After four years, however, I cannot but confess that the world seems stubbornly unedified. Everywhere I turn I continue to encounter bad things: ugly art, unethical behavior, wrong ideas. So this week I’m trying a direct approach.
